Summer Reading Challenge 2025: Color Our World!

Challenge Dates: June 21 - August 16
Preregistration: June 2

Welcome to Tacoma Public Library’s Summer Reading Challenge 2025! We’re delighted to have readers of all ages join us. This year’s theme is “Color Our World!” 

Track your progress toward completing the challenge by using the Beanstack, opens a new window virtual or paper activity log.

  • Use Beanstack to log your reading and activities on a computer or mobile device. Beanstack users are eligible for additional biweekly raffle prizes!
  • To use a paper activity log, download and print one, opens a new window or stop by any library to pick one up.
  • Complete the challenge by finishing 25 reading log activities. Activities can include reading, attending library programs, or actions you can complete from home! When you complete the challenge, you'll receive a completion prize and be entered into a grand prize raffle!
  • Complete your reading by checking out books and more from any of our eight locations. You can also access digital reading materials with your library card by using the Overdrive/Libby, and hoopla apps!   • The last day to complete the Summer Reading Challenge and pick up prizes is Saturday, August 16.

Track Your Reading & Activities

There are two ways to track your reading and activities this summer. Once you create a Beanstack account or pickup/download an activity log, make sure to stop by a branch to pickup your signup prize.

  • Sign up for a Beanstack account through the website or the app and add your family members so everyone can participate. Track reading and activities to finish the challenge and earn prizes this summer. Beanstack users will be automatically entered into additional biweekly raffles. Prizes

Biweekly Raffles

Readers who have registered for the Summer Reading Challenge on Beanstack will be entered in up to three Biweekly Raffles for fun prizes.

  • Raffle 1 - Tuesday, July 8th
  • Raffle 2- Tuesday, July 22nd
  • Raffle 3- Tuesday, August 5th

Completion Prizes

When you've completed your Beanstack or paper activity log, stop by a branch to collect your completion prize. Prizes are available while supplies last. The last day to complete the challenge and pick up your prizes is Saturday, August 16. 

Grand Prize Raffles

Those who have completed the Summer Reading Challenge will also be entered into a grand prize raffle.

 

  • Raffle winners will be notified by August 31, using the contact information provided on their Beanstack account or paper reading log.
  • Winners will be contacted up to three times.
  • Prizes must be picked up by September 30.
